seems that the people over at BMW in North America are about to begin an aggressive marketing / advertising campaign to promote some vehicles from their Diesel range. The problem is that many of the American public believe that Diesel is not the best way forward and so the marketers face the difficulty of having to convince them that it is! Unlike us Europeans, the Americans have never really taken Diesel fuelled cars and instead have concentrated all of their efforts on “gas”, known to us as petrol. Then again, we have had the added benefit of reduced tax rates and emissions, which has no doubt contributed to an increase in Diesel powered vehicles.
